New addition to the label roster is Pennsylvania’s producer operating under the designation IXVLF, providing us with the fourth installment in our ongoing tape series. Steadily moving along with colorful invocations of primitive house and unsettling minimal exploration, Connor Clasen triggers uncanny mechanical meditations; underlining his insatiable fascination with electronic experimentation and performance. Ranging from physical manipulation of machines to capturing the nervous movement of noise and the feeling of metal reverberation, Language Of borrows gimmicks from the industrial folklore to the early years of Chicago acid house. It feels like deciphering hieroglyphics at times, or some other obscure dialect that might be too difficult for us to fathom, disclosing the ability of the American newcomer to depict past and current trends in his own singular way; to be followed by a 12-inch vinyl later this year.
